Gold Coast, The Coast with the Most. A 70km stretch of coastline offers a huge array of beaches. Head to the hinterland or World Heritage Listed rainforests. There's theme parks, wilderness parks, wineries and a choice of 40 championship golf courses. Buzzing evening entertainment means the action is non-stop.

Mackay, located centrally between Brisbane and Cairns, is the Heart of Queensland. You'll find native animals (kangaroos) at Cape Hillsborough and (platypus) at Eungella national parks. Relax at unspoilt beaches, the Great Barrier Reef and nearby islands. Seek out quaint pioneer townships or view sugar mills.

Queensland's Outback is Larger than Life. Learn about Aboriginal culture, visit world-renowned Riversleigh site, or birdwatch. Southern Downs. Wake Up to the Beauty of It. Here's an experience for all your senses - follow a wine trail or stock up on the region's fresh fruit. Visit Warwick, City of Rose and Rodeo or take a tourist drive past fields of flowers or crops. There are some stunning national parks. Try fossicking, fishing or visit markets.

Sunshine Coast, Just North of Brisbane, Just Perfect. Only an hour's drive north of the Queensland capital, the Sunshine Coast has many beaches, pretty hinterland villages and the backdrop of the Glass House Mountains creates a stunning skyline. Head for Noosa or go the popular Eumundi markets.

Toowoomba & Darling Downs. Wake Up to the Beauty of It. The city stands on the edge of the Great Dividing Range with views over the Lockyer Valley. Toowoomba is the garden city with more than 150 public parks and gardens. Stay at a host farm or visit Steele Rudd Country. The Western and Eastern Downs precincts also offer plenty of interest.

Townsville, Life in the Tropics aptly describes this tropical city. Visit Magnetic Island, Dunk Island or Hinchinbrook Island, explore national parks, museums and old gold mining towns or find your own adventure with white water rafting, sky diving, horseriding and swimming.

Tropical North Queensland, Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. You'll find rainforests, pleasant seaside towns Port Douglas and Mission Beach, kilometres of beaches, the leafy Daintree and Cape Tribulation rainforests, the untamed wilderness of Cape York and the Gulf Savannah and the scenic Tablelands.

Western Downs, gives you the chance to Broaden your Horizons. Follow major highway routes to tour Cobb and Co country, cattle saleyards, fossicking and fishing spots and national parks. Visit centres such as Roma, Taroom, St George and Surat and view Aboriginal rock art sites.

The Whitsundays are known around the world as a superb sailing area with 74 tropical islands. Here's your chance to explore Hamilton Island, Hayman Island, South Molle Island, Daydream Island, Long Island, Lindeman Island, Hook Island and Brampton Island - each with unique features or snorkel the Reef. Kick up your heels in Airlie Beach or head to Bowen.
