Damage Liability and Responsibility Information

All Rolo Hire vehicles are fully covered for any bodily injury or property damage caused to Third Parties by the rental vehicle, in accordance with the legal requirements of Australia of rental. This cover is automatically included in the rental at no extra cost.

All Rolo Hire vehicles are comprehensively insured.

Rolo Hire offers the following packages to reduce your damage loss liability in the event of incident.

Collision Damage Waiver (WAIVER)  reduces the Damage Liability Fee (DLF) in the case of damage or loss to the Rolo vehicle in the event of a duel vehicle accident. 

Total Protection Package (TPP) is Rolo Hire's premium protection package and includes cover for single vehicle damage* and hail damage, as well as tyre/headlight and windscreen cover (*excluding reckless overhead, underbody and abuse damage). This package is often more comprehensive than Travel Insurance coverages as well as most other vehicle rental companies as it includes cover for hail and single vehicle damage. Please note that Rolo Hire provides quality liability coverages and is totally transparent about your cover and personal responsibility. Tyre, Headlight and Windscreen Cover is available and costs $4.40 per day for cars and minibuses and $5.50 for commercials.

Below are the Collision Damage Waiver (WAIVER) and Total Protection Package (TPP) options available to reduce your responsibility in the event of incident.

Amounts marked * are subject to Goods and Services Tax of 10%.

Please note: The online reservations screen (seen here) will show by default the daily rate on 1 - 6 day coverages in the "Price Per" column in the "Optional Extras" selection area below the daily vehicle hire rates table, even if you are renting for 7 days +. Although this 1 - 6 day "daily" rate will be shown, the actual calculation and daily rate in the "Reservation Quotation" will be as per the rate breakdown in the table below.
